Default Plan / Phone help

Hi,

I currently have a Family Plan with My Favorites and unlimited texting for just under $100 total each month. I want to get new phones, specifically Blackberry, but I don't want to buy any additional features (wireless/data plans) and keep exactly what I have now.

Is this possible? If not, what is the best phone with a QWERTY keyboard that has the Fave 5 capability and will allow me to get unlimited texting without an additional plan?

I have gone to 2 T-mobile stores and received conflicting answers, so I'm posting this here to hopefully get some clarification.

Thanks for the help!

You know that you don't actually need a my faves compatible phone. You can change myfaves on the web.

if you buy the phones from tmobile directly it depends on which Blackberry you get and whether or not you do a contract for the phone. With a contract all BB other than Pearl 8120 require a data plan 24.99 per line. Without a contract you can buy any device at full price in 4 payments and not have to add a data plan. The best phone currently with a full QWERTY keyboard that does not have a data requirement is the samsung Gravity or Gravity 2 the Gravity 2 is 3G the original Gravity is not. Currently all other full keyboard devices require a data plan.

T-Mobile eliminated the MyFaves when they changed their rate plans a couple of months ago. If you already have it, you can keep it. If you change your plan you will loose MyFaves and not be able to get it back.

Since you do not want to add any additional features such as wireless data do not spend your money on a BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, SideKick or Android device. Without adding the data service you are paying a lot of money for devices with features that you will never use.

If you want a nice device for voice and texting check out the Samsung Gravity or the 3G Gravity 2. They have a good price point (some are free after rebate), a full QWERTY keyboard and are great for texting. I have sold several and all my customers are with happy with them.
