| The launch date is 7/10/08 On this day SERO will be shut down (as we know it now) - and in its place "Simply Everything Plus". This includes what SERO has, plus GPS Navigation. Everything Plus 500 is going to be $59.99 Everything Plus 1000 is going to be $79.99 Simply Everything for $99.99 will still be an option The 500 minute plan for thirty dollars and for 1250 plan for fifty dollars will expire on 7/10. Customers on these plans will be grandfathered and remain on the plans, but all new SERO activations will be on the new plans. |

| I am happy to see the lower priced SERO plans go. Especially the $30 plan. Sprint wasn't making any money on them anyway and these new plans will be more profitable and at the same time still be a very good deal. |

| It is nice to see those extremely cheap SERO plans disapear. But another part of me is saddened to see them go, as I always wanted one.

| I'm very happy that I'm on the plan as well. While I'm sad to see the plans go, it's probably for the best. I'm sure it was a great idea for Sprint back in the day and it just got to be a little too popular. |

| Can anyone tell me how Sprint coverage really is for California? I live and work in the LA/OC area, but travel frequently to Sacramento and the SF Bay area. I currently have Verizon, but Sprint has some better deals with their plans and I might switch if the price and coverage is right. |

| So...will this plan work with the Instinct? Will one need a sprint employee email to get this plan? And, will current SERO folks be able to switch over, should they want to? |

| Wow. I guess I was lucky and got into SERO on July 1. They indicated (and my account on line confirms) that I can add up to 5 phones but that may change with this July 10 switch. Also, the commonly discussed "generic" email address does not work when doing SERO over the telephone, at least it didn't for me. Anyway, I am happy - got SERO with all the trimmings, and personally, my experience with Sprint's CSR's so far has been outstanding. |

| From what I understand is that current SERO customers well be grandfathered in and keep there current plans. Am I correct? |

| 10 years scandal free.... | Well I guess Sprint couldn't keep giving away great deals forever. Am I correct in assuming that current SERO customers will be able to keep their current plan after their contract expires? For example I am paying $30 a month for my plan but when my contract comes up for renewal will I be able to keep that rate or will I have to get one of the new plans? I bet there will be a scramble in the next few days for SERO sign ups so the SERO sales department should be busy. |

| Yes once you have a plan with Sprint (regardless of what it is) you can keep that plan for as long as you remain a customer in good standing. |

| | Too bad Sprint still hasn't rolled out EVDO here. I might have picked up SERO by now and gotten a Mogul or something. Touch Pro, would make me jump even without EVDO, but not at $60 plus ~$400 or whatever they'll charge. $60 vs $30 is quite a jump. Seems like a $10 increase to $40 would have been a significant improvement in revenue vs the decrease in signups at $60. One of my friends is a Sprint Engineer and almost every one that has used him to sign up has gone for the $30 plan because it was cheaper than everyone else's $40 plan. They won't pay $60 just because they're getting data too. The one guy that uses data, also talks a lot and moved to Simply Everything for $99. This is a great option for data users, but a very poor solution for cheapskates. |

| The silence is deafening...still trying to decide if it's worth it to pay double just to get GPS and the "opportunity" to use the instinct. |

| The "everything plus" deal is now available at sprint.com/sero. Looks like one needs the last three digits of an employee's ID number, in addition to their email addy. |

I totally agree. I was waiting for my Verizon contract to end to switch to SERO but now I have to revaluate. $60 for 500 minutes plus a lot of features I do not use is not enough to motivate me to move. | |
