No, your insurance will be fine. Once it is on the account it stays there until you remove it. So you can do any number of ESN swaps and whichever phone you switch to will now be insured.

Not really...there needs to be evidence the phone active on the account has made a call or text message since it was added to the line.

but you could technically beat up a phone.......and then replace it.......cuz my RAZR is beat up and the earpiece doesnt work anymore.......one of the reasons i upgraded.........but if anything were to ever happen to my ACE and i were to have to send it in for repair it would be nice to have a fresh phone to look to when i dont have my ACE.........how does the insurance policy work.....would it give me a fresh RAZR or would they replace it with another model???

I think you would get a Razr because there are tons of them. The housing on my Sanyo cracked, so I swapped to the Rumor and called Asurion. Even though the Rumor was the active phone I told them it was my Sanyo that needed replacing and they had no problem with it.
