Hmm... new tower going in next to work in McLean, VA. Coverage is fine right now... so this must be for extra capacity.

That's why iPCS should just be bought out! Not only because of that issue but because their coverage kinda stinks around here and they aren't building towers anywhere in the rural areas like where I live. But Sprint is. Just look at the thumb of Michigan where half of it is divided between iPCS and Sprint corporate. We are very rural and yet Sprint has decided to build panels on the Nextel towers here but iPCS still won't do anything!

I really think the whole IPCS thing is going to work itself out soon. It's killing both of them and IPCS has made it clear that they are not going away. My guess is that they make some sort of deal to be something like a VZW "master dealer" in the areas that they own. Sprint could take over the infastructure so it can be upgraded to "corporate" standards, and everyone will be happy. This whole court battle is doing nothing but costing both companies money and customers, neither of which Sprint or IPCS are in a position to waste!!

Does everything have to turn into an IPCS thing involving Sprint and coverage threads?

| It's not going to change anything and to be honest the whole IPCS thing that tends to pop up in many threads is getting a little stale. IMO. Also it appears that most IPCS complainers and/or bashers on this forum are not even Sprint users at all. So why is it such a big deal to you all? I have an idea. Why don't I create a sticky thread called "IPCS complaints" so all of the IPCS complaining can be done there and the discussions don't have to pop up in so many threads? | Didn't you already ask this on 2 other threads? Unless you have access to Sprint's internal (employee) coverage maps there's really no way for you to find tower locations. Sprint's web site maps do show recent and future towers in many areas but lately they haven't been kept up to date and are missing many of the recent tower additions. |

Sorry if I sounded like a jerk or something. It's just that for some reason I looked at 3 different threads in a row and by coincidence they all just happened to be from you with the same question. lol
