That is true- I didn't like the antenna on my Treo much at all- even with the antenna, though, the Treo's reception wasn't the best.

On my Sanyo 8400 I can get -72dBm; where my friend who has a Katana gets -83dBm (respectively).

So yes, external antennas do help -- on certain phones. I know mine does. And when I extend the antenna it gains about 2 or 3dBm.

If this was a slightly bigger WM device, I would be all over it. I do hope for Palm OS fans this one fairs better then the last two Palm devices. Now where is the 800w.

I do understand about the db levels being different but try that will other phones and some with the internal antenna might be better you know
