help installing java application

I have the LG Muziq (lx570) and I want to install a stopwatch program so I downloaded the jad file and jar file and have put them on the memory card for the phone but when i try to start the file it says "invalid file." I was searching the internet for how to install a java application but apparently everyone knows how to already except for me because i couldnt find one instruction guide on it.

I would prefer to install it through USB to my computer and avoid paying data charges.

Can anyone please help me out? I posted this on other forums like sprintusers.com and howardforums.com and got zero responses.

I am going to be honest with you on the handsets you cant bring it straight from the memory card. I would just do it online and then pay for the little data that you use. I will PM you a link to a website that will send it to your phone. Sorry this is the only way I know. Also it may be possible to do it throught your data cable I just dont know how.
