Here is a good map, that we have all been waiting for. Its THE detailed coverage map SPRINT NATIVE service. This does NOT show roaming -- it strictly shows Sprints native service. Good job Virgin Mobile! Thought it was cool because now we can know EXACTLY where Sprint service is and is not -- and where it isn't we can know we will be roaming. No more getting mixed up with Sprint's native service (green) and their data roam (green with dots). This is great check it out here: Prepaid Cell Phone Comparison by Virgin Mobile

Good find there! This map is pretty well up to date unlike previous Virgin Mobile maps which were 1-2 years out of date. It's also interesting to note that these maps show where Sprint has 1900 Mhz only coverage in Montana. As we know Sprint also has native service in Montana on the 800 Mhz band via a partnership with Alltel. I think these maps are very conservative unlike some other carriers maps which tend to exagerrate coverage.

I don't know the maps for Pennsylvania look pretty decent to me. They cover all of the most important parts of the state and a lot more than just Philly and Pittsburgh. Besides what's so bad about roaming if you need to? It's free for the majority of users and most if not all features are available these days. If Sprint doesn't want to cover specific, more rural areas of PA it's usually because those areas are not profitable for them and I don't blame them one bit for not wanting any part of it if there's not enough money to be made. Remember these things all come down to money. | |

That's the first Sprint map to reflect coverage as it actually is at my house, poor to fair.

Images: 147 | It looks like Sprint updated my area on the map as I previously was rated good and now I'm at fair.

Yeah there was a minor revision to the maps about 2-3 weeks ago. I think they are getting more conservative (at least here in the LA market).

In my area, the Virgin Mobile map of Sprint's native coverage is pretty accurate.

yeah but i've also noticed that this map is accounting for the lack of coverage of the road at the bottom of my street...........idk cuz i havent checked the Sprint map lately but if there is roaming where Sprints coverage is bad or non existent they just put the full green with polko dots
