Cell noob need help :)

ok i just got my first cell phone around 2 hours ago, and i get home and i follow some instructions on how to get my Sprint A900 phone to store songs from my computer i went through the whole thing that it said and when i get it to read as a removable drive nothing shows up in the folder, not media,filestore or music nothing how do i get it to read this.

you need to go to Menu>Settings>Security>then Format External Memory>

if it asks for a 4-digit security code......its the last for digits of your cell phone number..........you can change it and there is an option to do that in the security menu as well

it gives me these options i dont see any for format external memory all it has is

lock phone, lock pic/video, change lock, special #, erase contacts, erase my content, erase pic/vid, reset phone, reset favs, lock services... which one?
