I really don't think Apple has any plans of making a CDMA version in the near future. They seem to be going after a larger GSM Global market with it, at least for now.

only because CDMA is older..............GSM actually has more promise because it is used internationally.........CDMA is also used internationally as well as iDEN but not even enough to make a blip on GSM's radar

CDMA has the easierst upgrade path if I remeber correctly. And with the billions already spent on network infastructure for CDMA I don't see any major carriers switching any time soon. Besides that, what does the iphone offer that we don't have out already? Besides storage space I mean. |

Seriously, I understand it's just a dream, but should it somehow come true I'd actually have a choice in a carrier. | |

true dat........but the iPhone has the fersatile OS X operating system which makes it a prize in the eyes of many.........I really can't wait for the release of Windows Vista at the end of the month.......they have made it more graphical in an attempt to step up to the OS X platform......OS X is more eye candy than anything Microsoft can come up with........thats why its a prize..........and it has extrass like a proximity sensor so when you turn it either which way.......itll rotate the screen view with it......just little things like that build up to generate a lot of attention

There is a newer thread relating to this (referencing the Samsung Instinct). This thread is rather old. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/sp...ompetitor.html (Ready, Set...iPhone Competitor?)
