I found a sprint treo 650 I called to check if it could be used they said it was still on a nother account as lost. The rep told me that there is a waiting period before it could be used I just wanted to comfirm if that was true or not. I really like the phone but I cant use it on sprint anyway. I would like to see if i can trade it for a cingular treo 650. Or just give it to my girlfriend who has sprint.

If the phone is listed as Lost per Sprint, then I wouldn't buy it, you don't know if it's stolen, or if the person selling it is shady and something is wrong with the phone now.
With most people I buy from on Ebay, I look for at least a 98.8% positive feedback & check the user's ratings to see what the feedbacks are.

As for trading it in, I have never heard of Cingular taking in another carriers phone as a trade in.
