Does anyone here use Bluetooth with the 8400? Do you experience the following issues: 1. The Bluetooth signal is not very strong. If you get about 8 feet away from the phone you will get static. 2. If you initiate voice dialing and then do not say a voice tag, you will here several crackling noises. 3. When walking and using the phone, sometimes there is static even with the phone attached to my belt. I tried 3 8400s and different BT earpieces at the Sprint Store with the same results. Are there a bunch of bad 8400s out there, or is the Bluetooth implementation a crappy design in this phone. Thoughts please. Jim |

Sounds like a mix of both to be brutally honest. However, I've never played with Sanyo so no telling.

I have an 8400 and paired it with a Plantronics Voyager 510 from the store. I have a great range with it, often exiting my truck and walking around it while the phome hangs from my rear view mirror. I think that 25 feet is still clear and trouble free. There is a few second lag between the time I push the answer button on the head set and the tone /audio connects. Sometime I am frustated with that because usually I'm saying 'hello' two or three times or the caller hears nothing initially. This happens at every distance and it's not a big deal, just annoying. The Sanyo 8400 itself is new in my market and the store folks didn't have enough feed back on it to tell me if there are issues. My impression of it has been great and my co-workers have ordered it too; hope theirs work as well!! |
