Default Can Sprint take my SERO plan away ?

I was on the phone all day going through hell getting my Sprint bill all straightened out. I only had one more problem before my phone died so I had to call back and get a diff. rep. I explained my problem and before I even got to finish he was like " How in the world did you get this plan" I called into Sprint talked to several ppl who said it couldnt be done. I spoke to a manager explained it to her I had an email address and she gave it to me. He proceeds to tell me I'm not suppose to have this plan since I was not a new customer and he was going to submit it to a different department to get it taken off. I call in to get my bill fixed because sprint messed up and now hes going to take away my plan that a Sprint manager gave me with a valid email ?! So...can they take it off just because I wasnt a new customer even though a sprint employee told me about it and manager gave it to me knowing full well I wasnt a new customer ?

If you weren't a new customer then no, the SERO plan wasn't open to you. If someone converted you to it they shouldn't have.

Well the supervisor did change it for me. Can they take just it back and make me choose a different plan ?

Doesnt this violate my contract in someway ? I mean a plan was agreed upon and put into effect ? It just doesnt seem right.

Cellular contracts are pretty one sided and typically the cellular carrier covers their end of it very well. Review the specific contract you received, it will tell you what they can and can't do (And likewise what you're locked into).

I've known a number of people who were existing customers that were able to switch to SERO. I don't see why they would care that much about you having it.

I switched w/no problem. I already have a business account. I got the 30 dollar per month plan and they also converted my Unlimited Data plan to the cheaper one.

there has got to be kinks in the verification system cuz when i set my mom up and i set myself up with it......i did it over the phone after i ordered the service and had received my phone but inside the 30 day trial........neither time did they ask for a Sprint employee address..........so my guess is they dont lock up the system so that things like that can't be done

Ok can u switch if ur already on a plan? I am suppose to upgrade on Oct 1st, should I try and wait until then to try 2 get on the sero plan? What is the best way to do it...bc i have read so many different things on here, some ppl can do it with already being on a plan, then others have to get new accounts. If you have to open up a new account, what happens to your old one...I was told by one rep that I would have to keep those 2 lines, plus the 2 new ones? WSUP with that? I would really love to switch to the plan, but don't know too much about it and how to go about doing it. Any information would greatly be appreciated!

Sero plans are for new customers/activations only. However that doesn't mean it's impossible to switch to one because some people have. But it might not be easy to do.

there have also been many reports of Sprint auditing accounts as they are moved to the new billing system and the ones that are SERO and the service activation date doesnt match the plan activation date then they can terminate your service.......

That's pretty ridiculous that that rep wants to take your plan away- I mean what the hell is it his problem whether or not you are a new customer or not? Obviously someone gave the SERO plan to you for a reason. That's what I dislike about Sprint CS...they are whacked.

yeah but he's a current customer............it wasnt a new activation............SERO is only for new activations and if its a matter of whether or not they will save money or not thats not the problem............with all the data and texting and Nights starting at 7 it would prolli cheaper to get rid of him as a customer..........if they let all the people slide who did this then everyone would be doing it and the policy would be pointless

I understand that it's only supposedly for new customers, BUT someone, somehow put him on the SERO plan (so in essence, it's Sprint's fault for not catching the loophole) and obviously Sprint does still make revenue with the SERO plans, otherwise they would not offer him, SO would it be better for Sprint to not worry about the few customers that get switched from regular accounts to SERO accounts, or piss them off, kick them off and have a bad reputation? Word of mouth travels fast.
