I plan to sign up for the SERO plan online from the inphonic.com website. But I find that my zipcode (58103) is not in the list of SERO plan. I am sure Sprint covers my area. Could I place an order using other zipcode and call Sprint CSR to change my phone number after I receive the phone? Or may I using the Nextel SERO plan? Thank you in advance |

Sprint may cover your area, but if you are in an affiliate (non-corporate) market, then SERO will not be available. As for using another ZIP code...Sprint requires a plan cancellation and change everytime you get a new phone number from a different market. You might be able to use another ZIP code for setting up the count but request a phone number with your local area code though. Not sure how that would work.

Thank you for your advice. However, does Nextel cover the same cities as Sprint? Quote:

Perhaps it doesnt show your zip code in service, I'm not sure why but that happens all the time, but if you know you do get service then put in a neighboring zip code. You just want to make sure its still local for people to call you from thier home phones.

Sprint no longer requires a cancellation of plan when changing your zip code, area code or a move to a new area. Sprint has now enhanced there systems, and options, if your current plan was ever offered in the zip code area, you may keep it. (as of May 21st) As a new customer though you have nothing to worry about, I myself had the same problem, I had to use a zip code in another town. |

Sero plan is an employee referral plan for friends and family members. You get a great discounted plan, however you must have the employee's email address. Another issue is each employee is limited to 10 referrals. You are always required to purchase your handset from inphonic website. So you cant go to the store and pick out your phone. Be sure to put in a valid address, UPS delivers your phone. |

That's funny because my friend has referred over 30 people using the same e-mail address. There's no set limit that I can see. | |
