Got a letter from Sprint the other day saying: "Bring your old Sprint phone to a Sprint Store to take advantage of this special offer!" then it says: "Tony, because you're a loyal Sprint Customer, we would like to show our appreciation by presenting this unique offer, Sprint will buy back your old phone (my phone model written in bold) VM4500 by Sanyo-Blue. Well first, if i'm appreciatted so much, why does Sprint want to take a phone that they sell for $200 w/activation and offer me $50 bucks for it? At first i thought they were going to say your old Samsung A460 or something, but my Sanyo 4500 old? i guess....  Ha, shame on you Sprint....end of rant.

You got one of those letter. That is just too funny. It's like they think no one knows of eBay.  If Sprint offered me $150 for my a680, I might just take it.

That's weird.  Like Larry said, I also have never received a letter like that from Sprint and my VGA 1000 is older than a Sanyo 5500.

I've read about other people getting the letter as well. What a joke. Anyone can sell most phones that Sprint would want to buy back for much more than $50 on eBay.

I am sure it does. If I had a phone that wouldn't get much more than $75-100 I might consider it because with eBay you always risk non-paying bidders and other fraud, not to mention the fess that are charged. If I thought I could get more than $100 though, no way I would take my phone to Sprint.

I am going to take my old Samsung A460 with letter though, i'll take $50 for that, i bet they are going to say that the offer is only for the model that's on the letter...
