I read a thread over on Hofo. Apparently, if you know a Sprint employee, you can get the following deal (if it is available in your area) for new activations: http://sprint.p.delivery.net/m/p/nex...pclanding.html

I can get the following (I might consider switching to Sprint for this plan): Sprint Employee Referral Offer: 1250 adjustable anytime minutes for $49.99 per month. The plan would include the following: Plan Minutes: 1250 adjustable anytime Night and Weekend Minutes: Unlimited Night & Weekends Long Distance Charge: $0.00 Roaming Charge: $0.00/min - Included Activation Fee: $0.00 Additional Minutes: $5 for every 50 minutes for 1251 - 1750; Above 1750 minutes, $0.10/min And to top it off........ FREE! Power Vision Unlimited Web, Data and Picture Mail for FREE! ------and------ FREE Unlimited Web, Data and Picture Mail (regular internet) And then I can add either.... Unlimited Nights Starting At 6PM View Details for $10.00 ------or------ Unlimited Nights Starting At 7PM View Details for $5.00 So, the plan would either be $54.99 (for 7 pm n&w) or $59.99 for 6 pm n&w minutes plus tax. It looks like the offer is good until 6/30/06. I might seriously consider this.

Those SERO plans are dirt cheap. They were goin to put my family on that, but it only includes 100 SMS compared to my now unlimited. Switching over would be defeated by the cost of a new SMS plan.

Now you Guys got me thinking again, Sprint works well in my area and if it is good until 6/06 and my Cingular service flies south again in the spring..... well you know where I may be going. I guess I better start hanging out at a Sprint store so I can make a new friend. |

I would have to see if I can borrow my friends Sprint phone to test it out in my neighborhood and house (because we had Sprint before and it stopped working in our neighborhood).

Well my line is in contract with Verizon and porting one of the 4 lines out wouldn't make sense since we'd loose M2M minutes, and if we'd do it I'd need a phone that has the Digital Roam selection enabled, since Sprint at my house will cycle through 3 or 4 offsets and calls won't ring. Thanks, though, maybe I can help out a friend one of these days with your help. |
