Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the Samsung Exclaim phone and how you like it etc? I like the option of the 2 different keypads. Just looking for some feedback on it. Thanks Annette |

I'm considering getting one in January. I also like the slider keypad/qwerty combo.

When I played with a exclaim in the Sprint Store I seemed like a nice phone. Both my mom and step-dad just got reclaims which are similar. Helping setup my mom's reclaim it is a very nice phone. I would pick one up if needed a regular phone.

Thanks for the feedback. I want something that makes texting easier. I am new to texting but finding it oh so annoying to have to type out words slowly. Just found the T9 option and that helps a bit but it would be nice to have a full keypad. The exclaims seem to get good reviews from what I have seen. I also noticed that both of you have Katana II phones also, pretty awesome, that is my husbands phone. It is alright but I do like my Samsung M520 better. Annette |

I would recommend the Reclaim over the Exclaim. I think I like the more compact nature of the QWERTY keypad on the Reclaim.

hmmm, I will have to look at the reclaim a bit more. I have even been considering a blackberry. Just something to make texting easier. Annette |

I have read some reviews and it said they are not very good phones. What is the difference between the Exclaim and Rumor?

My girlfriend went through four of the original Rumors. I told her she was stupid to pay for insurance on such a cheap phone, but she got the last laugh. I haven't heard too many negatives about the Rumor2, aside from the lack of EVDO. TO be fair though, the Samsung Rant had a lot of the same problems the Rumor did (screens going out) and I have read reports the Exclaim has the same problem, albeit on a much less frequent basis. I also think the Reclaim gets/holds signal better than the Exclaim, but that is mainly just what I have gathered in talking to people that have used them. Also, if you like smaller phones, the Exclaim is "huge" by todays standards. The Reclaim is very nice and compact. The large screen on the Exclaim is nice though, so the size does have some benefits.

hmmm, good info. I have been looking at the different phones and one thing that I think with the Exclaim is that it looks like a teenager phone to me, at least something they would really like to use. I am far from a teenager. Now, what have you heard about Blackberry's? |

Images: 154 | I know three people who use the original Rumor and never had any issues with screens going out on anything after 18 months. The Rumor 2 however is an all around better phone with a better screen, camera, and keypad layout. Plus it just looks nicer overall. IMO

Do you always have to have a data plan for them work? I think that is what it said on Sprint.com. What other cool things do they have? Do they have a to do list? Calendar?

Yes you would need a data plan with a Blackberry. They have to do lists and calendars and come with software to sync up with your computer. If you don't want to get a data plan though, the Reclaim is the way to go, in my opinion.
