My family is currently on a family share plan. We have 4 phones on the Sprint plan. 3 of the phones are no longer under contract, but my phone is under contract until August 2007. My family is planning on switching carriers for the 3 phones no longer under contract. When I called Sprint to ask what would happen to my service, they told me I would continue on the family plan with only 1 phone for $70 a month (fair and flexible plan). The only way I would be switched to the individual plan is if I sign a new 2 year contract. I do not want to sign a new contract, but I also do not want to pay $70 a month. Is there a way I can get on the individual plan, or get out of my contract without paying the $150 early termonation fee? I don't mind paying for an individual plan, but it is cheaper to pay the fee and get out of my contract if I am stuck with the family plan.

Images: 40 | Wirelessly posted (Q's Mobile Device: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6306/1558; en; U; ssr)) Since you have at least 7 months to go on the contract, it's cheaper to surrender the 150... Just save the money up and run if that's your desire. $150 is a lot less than $490! If you like Sprint, they may be able to give you some sweetheart deals if you find that staying is in your best interests. Why the desire to leave Sprint?

My fiancee just joined Verizon, so I figured I would join her plan.

Well, if VZW is working for the wife, then by all means, join her and and save the money.
