Default cell phone repeater question

where I live I get decient service 1-2 bars outside my house but 1-0 bars inside my house. I can drop calls outside also. there are a couple of towers 5 miles away just not giving me good signal. I have a pm325 and so does my wife. I live in josephine, tx 75164. i have requested a cell tower to be added to my land also if possible, i doubt they would even consider me since they stated one time over the phone there are no plans to upgrade the area you live in. Question is I do not think i need a real high powered repeater and my phone does not allow the addition of an antenna adaptor for a booster. What kind of repeater do I need 1900 or 800 mhz, what is the cheapest one I can get. if it costs too much the cheaper option would be to drop sprint, pay the $400 fee and buy new phones with cingular. has anyone used a repeater and how well do they work.

I have no idea if Cingular would provide you with better coverage in your area nor do I know much about repeater prices. But if you do decide to get a repeater, Sprint is exclusively in the 1900 MHz band. That would be the repeater you would need. However, if you think you may ever switch to Cingular, they use the 800 MHz band. Since they are so expensive, to cover you in the future, I would spend a little more and get a repeater that amplifies both bands.

Considering this is in a sprint forum, well that's kind of a toughie ufo. I'm not quite sure what the band is but you can talk to a Sprint rep and find out, they should even be able to give you a list of repeaters they recommend.
