Default Porting question

Quick ? If i order Sprint service today, can I port another number over in December when my Alltel contract expires? Or is there a time limit for porting. I want to keep my number but do not want to pay Alltel an ETF.

that situation is called a port in teleconversion... you overlay a number from a different carrier on top of an existing service

you should be able to do that........my mom activated her Samsung A640 with a new number and ported her T-Mobile number over a week later.......but im wondering if that is because she was in her 30-day trial period....you might want to check in on that

Thanks, I have no idea what the guy in the post above yours is talking about. I am going on a trip in 2 weeks and wanted to test Sprint's service. But, I want to keep my number from Alltel..that contract is not up until December so i was just going to keep both phones until then and if I am happy with Sprint's service, I will port my Alltel number in December. I am also curious if I can apply my work discount to the SERO plan. I have seen people do it, but I am skeptical...that's awful cheap! We will see.

on top of the work discount you can get 5 dollars more off your bill every month if you switch to paperless billing and you won't receive a bill in the mail but you will be able to go online to read and pay your bill
