    PM sent.

    As an FYI can someone post a few details about how this works? I believe it is a transfer of liability? What about my phone number?

    Hi, from what I have read, you need to do a 3way call to Sprinticon, they do a credit check and transfer then. You can not keep your number because porting will cancel your account.

    I sent a PM as well in case the other swap didn't happen.

    I believe that Sprinticon can create a "dummy number" before the swap so you can still port the number away, at least that's what a Sprinticon rep told me. It's worth looking into.

    I have already transferred this number. It was "relatively" easy to do. Sprinticon at first said it would take 5-7 days which was wrong.

    I too am looking to take over a grandfathered $30 SERO plan. Specifically, I'm looking for a PowerVision SERO plan.

    Please send PM. Thanks in advance!

    Hello all. I'm also looking for a sero contract to assume. I've PM'd both of the posters in this thread with accounts to move, and they both no longer have those accounts. (Just in case anyone else ended up here and was going to try them.)

    Hopefully this thread is hitting some eyeballs, and someone else is out there with a sero plan they no longer want. If so, please PM me. Thanks!

    Searched and found this thread from Google. I saw people wanting to get out of their contracts, so here I am posting. I'm also looking for the $30 SERO plan. If you would like to Sell and Transfer Liability please PM me. I have been looking forever now to get on a SERO plan after hesitating for too long while it was available.

    If anyone is looking to get rid of their SERO plan I would love to Transfer Liability. I'm very disappointed that I didn't get one when I had the chance, and now I'm searching for someone wanting to get rid of theirs. Thanks!

    How does it work as as far as equipment? If you take over someone's plan I am assuming you are not eligible to buy a phone at a new customer price,

    Correct, but I did get it from someone who's contract allows them to get a new phone upgrade so it was effectively the same thing. Just depends.

    There is no fee for taking over a plan from someone (on Sprinticon's end anyway), but some people like to make money off these plans rather than just giving them away. I've done it twice now and it can take some time, one person charged and another didn't, so it just depends. I've seen on other sites that people who already have a SERO plan can add another line with the same plan even though it's not offered anymore. So if you know anyone this might be a way to do it. Here's the details:

    Steps taken:

    * Call 1-888-882-4030
    * be polite
    * ask if your talking to the Sero Department
    * ask politely if you can add a line to your account
    * rep would confirm your identity then perhaps ask what your
    trying to do
    * explain that you want to open another line with the same sero
    plan you have now
    * hopefully everything went well
    * confirm what he did to your account
    * ask for his name and say thanks...
    * your done

    Another option is that supposedly Effective November 2, 2008 new plans go into effect:

    Everything Data Family w/ Unlimited Data and Messenging
    $69.99/mo 1,500 Shared Minutes
    $89.99/mo 3,000 Shared Minutes

    These plans are pretty good considering you only pay $10 more, but get the Ultimate Data rather than just regular. But this is speculation, but seems legit. The big drawback people have mentioned is that it appears to cost $19.99 per month to add additional lines (over the first two) rather than the old $9.99 a month rate.

    Unfortunately the consensus in other forums such as fatwallet and slickdeals is that those pricing plans are in error and they are already corrected. It wouldnt make sense for them to offer an individual simply everything for 69.99 and also offer a family two line plan for the same price and 1500 minutes.

    I want to get on SERO but I also want an HTC Touch Pro. Guess that will be a tough to accomplish.

    It took me 4 months to get mine so just keep on chugging away. I'm sure you get it eventually. I'd check eBay occassionally. Craigslist also has some leads sometimes. And places like this. I've tried those swap contract sites and they were useless, at least to me. Not many people responded and I've got 10 times more junk mail now. Had to close that account.

    Talking Re: I'd like to take over your SERO $30 contract

    I do have a $30 SERO account I am looking to get rid of (for a small price?) The only thing is, I recently went to my local corporate Sprinticon store and was told that if I did it, someone else could be on my account but it would still be in my name. Anyone know if this is true, and if not, what the whole proccess involves? I would appreciate any info about this and if anyone is interested in getting this plan from me, please contact me. I will also say that I just signed a new contract but now I am forced to get rid of this because of poor service where I live now. So basically it will have a 2 year contract attached. Thanks!

    Default Anybody got a grandfathered $50 SERO contract they wanna unload?

    I'm looking to take over a $50 SERO contract (the one with 1250min, and unlim everything else).

    I've already got an account, I don't need a deposit AND I HAVE MY OWN PHONE. All I need is the line, so if you already have one you no longer need, keep your phone and get out of your contract by having me take responsibility for it.

    We'll 3-way call Sprinticon and they'll do an ESN change, phone # change, and transfer the line and contract into my name.

    PM me or email REMOVED
