Suncom took over my service a while ago, and I didn't really notice this until recently, but now it seems like whenever I'm in Charlotte, my calls are getting dropped every single time if I'm on the call longer than about 15 minutes. Are other's experiencing this as well and has anyone explored why this is happening and if Suncom is going to do anything about it. I've had such lousy experince with their customer service I figure it's probably a waste of time to complain. |

Problems are just something common with SunCom. But you may be one of the lucky ones because it seems that most people that show up here have problems getting a signal period and Charlotte is an area that does in most places ... But if you do a forum search of SunCom and hear some of the other complaints, you'll probably feel like it wouldn't do much good to complain and waste your time because you'll never get an answer. SunCom has a lot of good deals on wireless plans, and provides a lot of consumer friendly policies, they're just an 'often picked-on' carrier in the forums because they have the worst reputation at providing good service. My advice would be to accept SunCom with their flaws, or try another carrier when your contract is over. Most forum-goers that have tried alltel in Charlotte claim it is the best. Charlotte is actually their first city they built out. And My Circle should give close to unlimited calling, which is probably why you're with SunCom. |

you know, I might agree with that, except that EVERY CALL gets dropped. Not just occasionally. EVERY SINGLE CALL that lasts more than 15 minutes. That can't be a coincidence. Something in their network times me out after 15 minutes or so of a connection. I was just wondering if anyone else had this same issue. It's not just a case of "customer service issues." thanks for the reply, though. |

| If you are using a Motorola phone, try power-cycling (power off for a few seconds, then power on) your phone occasionally. I have had problems with GSM Motorolas dropping calls after fifteen minutes or so. Occasional power-cycling stopped that occurence.
