I have used that site but found it lacking some towers and many rooftop installations. djjim - When I am in Alltel territory I will gladly get you pictures, GPS coordinates, and the other info you need for the Alltel towers I find. I am glad you are hard at work mapping towers. |

FYI = You can look at a program called Navizon. I will work on smart phones and a few other phones. Combine it with a GPS and it does all the mapping for you... including WiFi if your phone has it.

alltel is the largest network. There is a alltel tower 2 miles away from my house. I get four bars at my home.

These FCC based tower search sites DO NOT show every tower and cell site in the country (from any carrier). There are thousands and thousands of cell sites that will never be on there due to the locations and type of site. | |

| That website has good intentions but, it don't list everything that I know is in my area. I personally like to see a Google Earth (kmz) type of thing done for each carrier. That would be nice.

| KGI Wireless maintains and rents out most of Alltel's cell sites. 3,500 Alltel sites are listed. There is a map available and some have pictures.
