    Default Which Verzion Color Phones?

Hello I had the same question a few days ago. I looked around places like CNET and other places and read reviews on all the phones. On CNET the reviewer gave the T720 and LG4400 a overall rating of 7.3 (good) I forget what the 9500 rated. I did not pay attention to it as much because I had narrowed it down to the two. Well then I got to looking on CNET at actual consumer comments on the two phones. That made my mind up. The LG had an approval rating of 93% and 7% did not like it. The T720 had an approval of only 68% with 32% who did not like it. Many negative things users had to say about Motorola 720. Most people said the LG4400 was just the best phone they had ever had. So with that in mind and the fact its color screen is better as far as color wise and sound is better and batteryicon life I picked the LG VX4400. Should be here tommorow. No I do have to say this about Motorola I here after a few software updates it may be a better phone as far as the complaints that could be addressed by a software update. It basicaly comes down to what you think, how you feel about each phone. The 9500 (Audiovox I beleive it is) had a terrible battery life. So good luck. Look around at actual user comments maybe that will help.

I would suggest you check out the 4400, I have researched all of the phones that Verizonicon has and been with them for.....WOW, almost half my lifetime, I just figured that out, that is pretty scary *LOL* Anyway, back to phones, research heavily, go to the store, play around with them, and see which is best for you. I would suggest the 9500 or the 4400 due to problems that Motorola has experienced and that are well documented on this board. I chose the 4400 for it's superior batteryicon life and better looks IMHO. That is the right phone for me, for you it may be the same, or it may be the 9500. Either way you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend the 4400, but I suggest you check them out and see which one feels right for you.
You have very successfully added 2 and 2 together and gotten a beaver. You are so far off the mark you have left numbers all together and entered addition with mammals.

Apparently the Audiovox CDM9500 has just gone discontinued as of yesterday.

From previous press releases, the Audiovox CDM8600 is scheduled for first quarter availability (this month)...

It appears to offer several improvements over the cdm9500 (much better battery life, more than one hole in the receiver -- perhaps this will fix the compalints about the need to have the phone centered properly to hear, external volume controls, etc.)

I've called Verizonicon and asked about it, but nobody knows anything about it (at least in sales).

I'm currently with ATT Wireless and looking to switch to Verizonicon -- trying to decide on phone choices (and debating on whether or not to wait for the CDM8600).

That is correct - no detailed information was distributed as of yet about reasoning but as you suggested it's more than likely to roll out a more popular replacement.
