AT&T GSM Coverage in Sarasota/Venice area!

Can anyone tell me why AT&T has not filled the gap between Tampa and Fort
Myers for GSM service. Which happens to be the Sarasota/ Venice area.

Give them a break! They haven't even had GSM for a year yet...and they've covered a ton of Florida.

Why don't you check their forum on their site? Tell the reps. there that it is a huge spot for them to fill, if it really is that big. Beleive me, they'll do anything to hear about your complaints about large dead zones. The customer rep was overjoyed to hear that our area was a dead hole for all providers. I'm sure that AT&T would be glad to put a tower up there (and in our area).

They will probably cover Florida more completely by June. That's what I think.

As for my town...it used to be covered but the tower was "too ugly"...and I was SO pissed. Sooner or later, I'm just going to find a large, detailed map and plan out a good space for a tower and tell that ridiculous committee to put up a tower right outside of our "We cannot have ANY ugly objects" comittee.

Oh yeah, and if you have multi-band (GSM/TDMA) it works there...(or just TDMA too).[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
