Who has better coverage in florida's west coast? Alltel or verizon? I will pick between the two because they both offer similar "americas choice" type plans.

I'm sure someone else (like roamer1) can give you a better answer, but I think Verizon and Alltel will give you the same coverage. I think they "roam" on each other's networks.

Most of Alltel's network on the west coast of Florida is at 800 MHZ (both CDMA and AMPS) while Verizon has 1900 MHZ (CDMA) coverage. If both carrier's plans allow roaming on the other carrier's network without extra charges, their coverages should be the same.
