Well, since the beginning of August, I've been using Verizon Wireless in my apartment in Downtown Columbia, SC. I've had a significant quantity of dropped calls, low/analog/no signal, unavailable towers, etc. I have contacted Verizon, and they claim that there aren't any problems that they are aware of. I've been using Verizon here in Columbia for more than three years with excellent results until the past few months. I'm getting so frustrated with it that I might have to cancel when my contract comes up for renewal in about a month. Is anyone else having similar problems? I know other people in my building are having the same problems with all kinds of different phones, so it's not my phone. I normally have full strength signal when the network isn't glitching. I'm rather disappointed considering the premium I'm paying for Verizon service over other providers available here.

If other (non-Verizon) wireless customers just started having connection problems too, you might want to see if something new has been installed in that building that is interfering with your signals.

I have mentioned in this forum, as did other CT residents, that signal strength in this area has decreased. I was able to make calls from any area of my house, now I must sit in the cold garage by the door. Calls from any other area result in my voice breaking up, to the point, that I can not be understood.

Hmmm...the only way that this will change is if you actualy call several times and have your neighbors call as well. At this point it might be time to consider trying out Cingular for 15 days to see what they can offer you service/plan wise. |

Call and ask them to place a trouble ticket to have a technician check the area, because you were able to make calls and now cannot, ask them to have the technician contact you once the ticket is cleared (or problem resolved). Which phone model are you using?

I'll give that a try. However, as I said before, I'm not the only one having issues.
