Does anyone know if ATT has service there, I called (which was not much help) and they told me now by looking at the coverage area, if not does anyone know the schedule?

Do you have the ZIP code in question? AWS at this time offers no coverage in Columbus GA. I'm pretty sure (90%) that they are not planning coverage in that area in the near future. |

Yes, the zip is 31909. Do you know if they will have any roaming agreements with other carriers? such as Cingular or T-Mobile? Thanks for your reply. Mark |

AT&T TDMA currently roams on Cingular (first choice) and Price/Verizon (second choice). GSM would roam on Cingular only (with a GSM/TDMA phone such as the Siemens S46) only. -SC

Will this be in columbus, GA where ATT will roam? I only ask is that I had my phone sent to where I am staying in Columbas GA on a project and have NO signal so far, which prompts to my previous questions. Thank you. |

The only GSM provider in Columbus is T-Mobile. T-Mobile does not roam with AT&T for GSM. Therefore, you are stuck. Sorry. |

I personally recommend NOT getting GSM if you are in the Atlanta area because of the lack of roamable digital (TDMA or GSM) coverage south of the immediate metro area. AT&T apparently having a fall-out with PSC Wireless doesn't help matters any... -SC

Thanks for everyone's reply, I actually called AT & T, and they allowed me to cancel my plan and return the phone today, of which they admit they do not have the coverage available to suit my needs, I will say they were extremely nice and gave NO hassle returning this, then of couse I only had it for a day or so... I THOUGHT COLUMBUS, GA WAS STILL UNDER ANALOG COVERAGE. I REALLY DON'T THINK ATT WIRELESS WILL SPEND TOO MUCH MONEY IN THAT SMALL MARKET.
