Default Trying Sprint - Is it worth it?

I used to be a customer of Sprinticon PCS $40 ( additionally $5 for unlimited phone-to-phone minutes and $20 for second phone) plan w/ a second phone for my wife. But, I had sevaral problems with the service when I started calling from New Jersey to New York city. Also, Sprinticon started counting all my night&weekend minutes and also pcs-phone-to-phone minutes (the calls between my phone and my wife's phone) towards the 400 anytime minutes I have. With in a week my 400 minutes were down to 70minutes though I used only close to 20minutes during the day time for the entire week.

When I called Sprinticon customer support about the issue, their answer most of the times was to go for the next level plan though I kept telling them that I have not even used the current plan minutes. At least one customer service rep was so rude that he started challenging me to cancel the service at the moment I mentioned it to him. Anyway, they refused to resolvemy problem until the end of the month.

Hence, I cancelled my service with Sprint two days ago after 13 days of trial period. But, they are trying to rip me off by charging about $145 though I cancelled it during the trial period. Their justification was that I still have to pay $70 of activation fee for two phones and $75 for the first month service fee.

Does anybody know what my liability is in this case and if I can escape from these charges?

$145 for trying Sprint service! If I knew it was that expensive, I wouldn't have even tried it. I guess the lesson is that it does not make any sense to try these services to know if it down not work at your house. The only way seems to be to find out from forums like this one.

Cellblues,
If you were checking your minutes using *4 thats and it was saying you were out of anytime minutes, thats because Sprints *4 doesn't work with shared minute plans. It will give you correct individual usage for the phone that is the Primary, but the phone that does the actually sharing it will give you one bulk amount of minutes used. It will not be able to give you a break down of what was n/w, what was pcs-pcs, and what was anytime. It will only do that when the bill cycle runs. This is a system limitation, that is being addressed. As far as the month service fee, you should be able to get that credit back to your account without any problems. However in most cases the Activation fee are non refundable. Personaly...Ive been very happy with my Sprinticon service. My wife and i are on the shared minute plan. We are on the 85.00/ 2000 anytime min with unlimited pcs-pcs and for 10.00 mores we get unlimited night and weekends. The cost includes both phones.

You only have to pay the activation fees which are non-refundable plus taxes involved. Sometimes they try to get you to pay for the minutes, but you shouldn't have to pay for minutes under a trial period but they feel the need to at least chargeicon you for the minutes used, thus a prorate and taxes involved. In the back of the pamplets say "We will send a refund either by check or a charge-card credit. Charges for service, taxes, extra minutes and long distance still apply." It stinks, but get them off your back and try Verizonicon!

I forgot to state that the refunds are for the phones only, 14 days only through the Sprinticon store, and i believe 30 days with other stores. How are the return policies for other companies, good or bad?
