Sounds like I fit the profile: Suncom Cities, 400 minutes, overbilling in August... I have written a letter with no response, nor can I get any one on the phone. According to the other comments, it didn't matter what the coverage map color was. The only time I was out of "orange" was when I went to Atlanta. Help! |

What city do you have your service out of? Also, where did they charge you? Just Atlanta? Finally, have you called customer care and asked them to remove the charges from your bill? |

What tower were you on? On the invoice the carrier is located at the beginning of the calls. If it wasn't suncom it is not covered because on the SunCom Cities plan you must have two things true at all times. 1. BE INSIDE ONE OF 250 INCLUDED CITIES 2. BE ON SUNCOM TOWERS - IE PHONE READING SUNCOM/AT&T If only one is true, roaming will apply. If non are true, roaming will apply. if BOTH are true, NO ROAMING. S. Cole |

Me Too! Like many others I didn't notice the fine print on the contract when we purchased two phones last year. We signed up for a 1 year contract. I have had other carriers in other parts of the country in the past. I have always had the option of renwing or discontinuing service ANYTIME after the end of the contract. I was unaware that Suncom AUTOMATICALLY renewed your contract after the year was up and if you decided to change carriers after the year you would have to pay a $200 disconnection fee. I would advise everyone to #1. Dump Suncom ASAP. #2. Let them know in advance that you are not renewing (don't wait until after the end of the contract year). #3. Tell your friends. I am! They have been totally uncoorperative. I am changing carriers due to the fact that I cannot make call from my home without the call dropping out. Reception in my area is very poor! As for customer care! What a joke! They definetly DON'T CARE. Don't use Suncom.. Beware!!! |

First of all the original starter of this thread was talking about SunCom (Telecorp PCS) which is now AT&T Wireless. I see you are in my area and on SunCom (Triton PCS) which is the same carrier that I am using and I'm in the same market as you. I have had no problems with SunCom at all. I have found there signal to be among the best if not the best carrier in this area. Granted I don't like the self renewel contracts myself but SunCom clearly states this to you and its on the contract you sign. One word of advice trying READING before you sign anything.

Sounds like TNdan21 is on the Suncom payroll. Yeah I know he will claim he is not. My opinion of is that EVERYONE should avoid Suncom. That is MY opiniion and I have every right to express it..... Be assured I will be posting my experience with them anywhere I can....

First of all I am not a SunCom employee just a very happy user of there service that's all. Second of all if you keep posting the same thing over and over again in all the thread's I'm going to start deleting your messages and locking threads. You can give your opinion but don't beat it to death!
