This picture here http://www.circuitcity.com/IMAGE/ewi...SPRINT_PCS.gif is telling me outside of the shaded area I won't have any signal or will be in roaming?

I would make the same assumption from that map, although I don't find that map to be particularly informative. Personally, I'd check the one on the SprintPCS website. One thing about their maps, though. They use 4 different shades of green to depict 1x coverage, standard network coverage, roaming coverage, and no signal, so it's a little odd to get used to at first.

That's not really a good map. Go to Sprint PCS's website and check there's out instead.

They have the worst maps. Jeez, it's like they are trying to hide their coverage. Green Green Green Grey, I think, damn if one is colorblind then too bad! I can barely tell where SPCS is and where roaming is (future service in green is annoying too, since technically that would be roaming now..)

I agree Airb. Sprint PCS has pretty crappy maps and in the future I hope they update them although I've been waiting on that a long time and they haven't improved any so don't count on it.

Try looking at the maps for virgin mobile. It's the same network and the colors are much brighter. They also have nice zoomed in maps for each region.
