I just got back from Orlando today. Besides the abnormal amount of rain, it was fun. Verizon's coverage was great as usual. I was worried since Verizon is 1900 down there, but it was excellant. The only weak places I spotted were: Animal Kingdom (whole park 2 bars, still clear calls), inside any cement building inside all of the Disney parks. Everyplace else I went to was excellant, Downtown Disney, where I stayed (wyndham palace...great place), Sea World, airport, etc. I hope you have a great time Joe, anyone else have any experiences in Orlando? Forgot to add.....My uncle has Verizon's singlerate (whole US) 125, gets it for cheap since he is in the credit union (free hotel room for us!), his phone is an lg 111. It couldn't roam off of Verizon since his phone is only 800/800, so it was analog on ATT/Cingular. Why didn't it roam off of Alltel? One day I turned it on, and it had a digital signal, the next day it didn't. Not a big deal to him since it still worked and sounded OK, but I thought it was odd.

Well that would explain why it was analog most of the time, the one day when it displayed digital, it must have been the phone's mistake. I guess Joe already left for Orlando.

Airb330... Thanks very much for that info. I'm glad you had a great time. I am off to Orlando next Saturday, the 24th. I was going to bring a calling card as a backup bc I did not want to roam but now I kn ow I dont have to. Thanks again for the very informative feedback. |

No problem, lol I just posted that I thought you left. I hope the weather is a little better for you! School is back down there (not here yet thank god), so the parks are closing pretty early! Might want to check out the attractions you are going to. Disney parks closed at 5, 9, 9 and 10 when I was there (Animal, MGM, EP, King).

Yes, crowded as crap! School went back last monday, but that didn't make a diffference. Check out something called E-Ride nights, they let you stay in the kingdom for an extra 3 hours past it's closing date (if you have a multiday pass and stay on (or at) a disney property (downtown disney places count even thought they aren't owned by disney). The times are ____, IMO, Busch in Tampa closed at 6! So we didn't bother driving there, lost our business.
