Cellular Service in DFW Area Recently signed up with Voicestream & we are very disappointed - may be the area we're in but can't get service in our house (Farmers Branch) and constantly losing calls. Our general area is out to DFW Airport, Irving, 635 west of 75, Dallas, North Dallas, Far North Dallas, Carrollton, etc. VS sales person says we can cancel if we can't get service in our house but will we get be stuck with 2 expensive Motorola V60 phones that are proprietary (got a family plan)? Anyone else in these areas with any recommendations. We do travel - major cities - and want to be able to make long distance calls from any city anywhere but would also still prefer a family or shared minute plan. Thanks Thanks. |

If you are still within the 72 (business hours) hour trial period then you can cancel service w/o paying the early termination fee. You can also return the equipment and get a refund (but there may be a restocking fee). Read the fine print on the contracts and receipt from the dealer to make sure what your terms and conditions are.

I think your best bet would be Cingular under a Cingular Nation Plan. You can't add a second line to a Cingular Nation Plan but you can have 2 separte plans and have them on one bill which may be your best option. What you can do for instance is get a Cingular Nation 350 plan for both you and your family member. That would give you each 350 anytime minutes plus 3,500 night and weekend minutes with no roaming or long distance charges across the US period for $39.99 per line. Go to Cingular's website and plug in your zip code and check for yourself. Cingular Wireless |
