Default Just got back from Savannah

While I was in Savannah I noticed a new GSM carrier when I searched for available networks. The search results in three networks: Cingular 310-150, VoiceStream 310-270, and USA-490 310-490. I was wondering if this could be AT&T rolling out GSM on the suncom network. I also noticed some of the Independent ceel shops removing Cellular One logo's in preperation for the Verizon buyout of Price Communications. The rep I stoped in to see said it would August 13th. I also noticed when I could not pick up an Alltel signal I was on Network SID 539? and the phone did not say anything in the banner location. All it had was the "A" for analog on the screen. No Extended Network, Roaming, or Verizon Wireless. I do not know what this is just thought I would share.

Most likely it was SunCom (Triton PCS) as they operate in Savannah and are working on upgrading their network to GSM. Savannah is a SunCom market not a AT&T market and they don't compete in the same markets. So I think it pretty much had to be a SunCom GSM signal that you found.
