Smile VZW expands AC coverage in Alabama

The new AC maps that came out today show essentially all of Alabama (except for some areas in far northwest AL with coverage from more or less only Cingular) as now being part of AC. PRL interpretations are *already* showing up in other forums, and they show RCC/Unicel (SIDs 1005 and 1013) as having gone from roaming to Extended Network.

VZW also added Centennial Wireless in AL/MS (SID 1299) to the AC Extended Network.

Of course, this is all analog coverage so you do need a tri-mode phone.

Bye-bye Cingular -- again
