Yes that is great. That is what alot of people have been waiting for. I'm sure if they advertise/market this right, this will bring in lots of customers.

Hmmm...I think I meant to post this on Central, but anyway here are the details. Family Time is included for $10. A good test IMO. Since you have to be on a $39.99 plan I wonder how many people will bump up from 19.99 or 29.99 to get this......you need to be on a current plan to add it:

Effective May 7 through June 2, VoiceStream is offering Unlimited Nights to our Chicago and Milwaukee customers only. Weeknights is defined as the period beginning at 9:00 PM and ending at 6:59 AM, Monday through Friday. This optional feature is available to new and existing customers on qualifying rate plans.

The Qualifying Plans for each feature are listed below for each option.

$5/Unlimited Nights
Single line Consumer Nationwide rate plan $35.00 and up
National Business/Government rate plans $35.00 and up
Nationwide Enterprise rate plans
Regional Enterprise rate plans

$10/Unlimited Nights
FamilyTime Consumer rate plan $69.99 to share for 2-5 subscribers
Small business pooling (national plan) to share for 2-4 subscribers

Call is allocated to a period depending on when the call begins. (i.e. calls beginning at 8:00 PM and ending at 9:30 PM are rated "Anytime Minute" calls for the entire call.)
The Unlimited Weeknights cannot be added to rate plans that are no longer offered.
Customers who move to an ineligible rate plan or an eligible rate plan after the feature expires will not be able to re-add this feature.

True, but there is one thing I read in Matt's post that I didn't like.

"Call is allocated to a period depending on when the call begins. (i.e. calls beginning at 8:00 PM and ending at 9:30 PM are rated "Anytime Minute" calls for the entire call.)"

I really don't like that, if the night's start at 9 pm and you start your call at 8 and end it at 9:30 pm then I think the carrier should bill it as 60 anytime minutes and 30 night and weekend minutes, instead of labeling the whole call as anytime minutes. Sprint PCS does the same thing so I can't say they are the only one's that do this.

That's great Matt, it looks like they are finally lining up with what other Carriers offer. Just hopefully these changes will happen Nationwide and not just in test or select markets.

It probably depends on the results of their tests; capacity, revenue, etc.
