Default Verizon: 900 anytime minutes for $45!!

You CA ppl think your getting a good deal with 700 minutes for $45/month. Verizon just launched a new deal (its not up on their website yet, but it was in the Dallas paper today). New Texas local plan - 900 anytime minutes, unlimited n+w (starts at 9 pm) and free LD in the state of TX (from anywhere on their digital network in Texas (I think). That would be fine for me and many others because all of my LD #s are in TX.

Verizon isn't that popular here (in fact, I only knew one guy who had them, but he didn't pay his bill on time). I think its because they don't have the Nokia's that everybody wants (mainly the 3360), and their rate plans up to now haven't been that good. We will see what this does for them

It shows up on there website as avaible for me. For $45 a month I get 900 anytime minutes and unlimited night and weekend minutes, the local calling area is nearly all of Tennessee and a little bit of Southwest Virginia. Excellent Deal!

ok, heh, when I was looking earlier, I didnt check the promo column - i was looking for a new rate plan. It doesn't say free LD in TX on the website, but the ad does. Here's what it says (all include nights & weekends, and are local digitalchoice plans):

$45 - 550 + 350 additional anytime = 900
$55 - 700 + 500 additional anytime = 1200
$75 - 1000 + 400 additonal anytime = 1400
$100 - 1500 + 400 additional anytime = 1900

Same here, Erub boy Verizon is really getting competive with other carriers now. Hopefully they will see better results this next quarter because of the new rate plans.

Yeah they are nice plans, what the carriers really trying to do is keep their existing customer from leaving now since, the subscribers sales are declining. If a carrier keep their churn down they have a possiblity to turn up as profitable or unleast they add a lot of subscribes.
