I'm looking for a prepaid phone for my parents who live in Jackson,Al. I want them to have a phone when they travel.Of course,nothing works between Jackson and Coffeeville,but I more concerned about service between Jackson and Mobile.Also,would like it to have coverage between there and Texas.They would rarely use it,I would just give me peace of mind.

Your right, I live in Mobile and going up into Washington county with Cingular is a dangerous task. On both sides of Chatom no provider has this covered. and going north from Chatom into Choctaw county is no good either. As far as going US 43 from Jackson to Mobile, Cingular has this well covered. and they have digital service on I-10 from Mobile, to San Antonio. Hope this helps ya.
