I live in Athens, GA (70 miles NE of Atlanta), but I frequently travel west along I-20 to Starkville, MS (60 miles south of Tupelo) and Vicksburg, MS (I-20 on MS river). I am currently looking for a good wireless service that will include these areas in a regional plan and offer decent coverage even in less urban areas.

Anyone have any positive or negative feedback on companies in these areas? I appreciate any help I can get.

Hello weatherDawg (and welcome to WirelessAdvisor),

"Best" is so extremely subjective that you can get replies as diverse as: TopFive. For all the time I have put into contributions to this site, I can tell you from experience, you will need to do your own homework. Go to the retail sites of each business (company-owned outlets).

There has been a rash of requests for "best" in certain areas and I doubt any of those posters ever come away satisfied with the replies. The reason for the diversity of answers (ranging from "it sucks" to "they're the best&quot is due to many factors: quality of phone the user bought, quality of the wireless communication in the local area, quality of the customer service representatives (industry education and helpfullness), user's own knowledge of reasonable expectations of what the service can and cannot do.

For further information on decision-making, see my article on my website.

Kevin

Probably gonna be Cingular, they have all of N GA covered as well as N AL. When you get into MS I-20 is covered all the way through MS and as far as Dallas TX. Tupelo is covered as well.
