Score with Alltel and New Phones

Hi All,

My previous post was about switching to Suncom from Alltel. For a number of reasons we're sticking with Alltel (coverage, cdma vs. tdma/gsm, etc.) They were willing to play ball and switch us from the Total Freedom plan to National Freedom (a cheaper cost overall and more minutes) and continue to provide us with a $10.00 credit toward our second line, which was part of our previous contract. So now we have plenty of anytime minutes, unlimited night and weekends, and unlimited family to family, which includes both my home AND work number (the last part was very nice of the rep). This will allow my wife to call me at work at no cost.

ALSO, they will have new phones offerings as of this Friday! One will be a camera phone which the rep. confirmed, but couldn't provide details on any of the others. This means that the cost will probably come down on the existing line-up between now and Christmas as they try to clear their inventory.
