Getting rid of my Cingular Contract Our billing cycle ends on the 20th of every month.
MY question is, does anyone know if it makes any difference when we cancel service and pay the ETF?
BTW, our cancel charge
is prorated, so it will be $60 for my sister's phone, and $80 for our phone.
Since we are cancelling in November, we will have 6 months left on my sister's contract for a total of $10 X 6 months, so it will be $60 for her, and $80 for us like I mentioned above.
Will it be cheaper to cancel as it gets closer to December 20th, or does it not matter when I cancel from the dates of November 20 to December 20, the end of our next billing cycle, since we will still have 6 months left on 1 phone, and 8 months left on the other phone?
Does anyone know if Verizon
will have any X-mas deals this November? Their color phone rebates don't end until November 22, I believe. Would it be smarter to wait until after the 22nd to see if they have any better deals?
Thanks.
P.S. I hope this all works out, since I am trying to talk my parents into paying the ETF on both phones, and getting rid of Cingular and getting Verizon
.

Don't you mean the day after Thanksgiving, which is the 28th, or do you mean that Monday, November 24, is the #1 shopping day?
Thanks for your answer.
