Default Cingular GSM launch in Southwest Florida?

Does anyone know when Cingular will convert its TDMA network to GSM in Southwest Florida(Naples/Ft. Myers) area?

I heard 6-8 months from now. Does that sound right, or does someone have some insider information?

    Thanks

Default Cingular GSM launch in Southwest Florida?

I heard its projected for Q3 2004, so expect Q4 for actual launch time if that date is reliable.

Default Cingular GSM launch in Southwest Florida?

Does that mean that they will be sending out promotions for there GSM phones as early as this December?

If so, do you have to convert to GSM, and if you don't want to, can you get out of your contract, or do you have to pay the ETF.

How will I know when it is GSM?

    Thanks

Tampa is still TDMA only. I have a SE T62u and it only finds TDMS here. I thought GSM would be here by now but so far it is not available.
