Cingular 850MHz is live in Central Arkansas

I stopped by the company store today because customer service was dragging their feet in resolving my problem, and they're selling all the GSM phones now. They still have a 3560 on display in the front window, though.

Mississippi? I don't know about the entire state, but I do know that GSM is online for Cingular in Central Mississippi. I don't use it, I'd NEVER use Cingular, but that's another story. I have several friends that are on Cingular's GSM. They all have the Nokia 6340i. Talk about a piece of junk phone, IMHO!!!

The 6340i is a GAIT phone that can function on either GSM, TDMA, or AMPS. Cingular is still TDMA in most of Mississippi.

GSM is not live in central Mississippi yet. The 6340i's are using Cingular's TDMA.

I feel the same way about Cellular South, especially their poor CDMA service.
