Verizon Wireless introduces North America's Choice to Georgia/Alabama, Carolinas/Tennessee and Florida this Thursday, July 15th! North America's Choice calling plans, only available at Verizon Wireless, provide a simple solution to customers that want Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and of course, the United States, as part of their home coverage area. |

Gosh...I went into VZW last week (7/9) and they already were advertising these plans...there was a BIG poster up of all the areas that were covered...I guess if you go to Mexico or Canada often (or have families in those areas) then it's worth it!

I own a small industrial consulting company. Our clients are industrial plants and facilities in the Southeast, East, and Midwest, primarily in the automotive industry. Many of them have plants in Mexico and business in both Canada and Mexico. Right now I have people that I work with from several plants in this area who are in Mexico working with industry right now. It is these people who would be all over this service from Verizon. With, as Ross Perot said, "that giant sucking sound south of the border",there is more going on between the US and Mexico than ever before. Canada is one of our largest trading partners. While the market for this service is probably not massive, I would say there would be strong demand from the business community in the south for this service. Just my $.02. Have a great day. Mike

It been almost a year here in Utah in a few months. You would think that by early spring the rest of the nation would be able to get it. |

I agree it doesn't make much difference in border towns like yours. Good points on both sides. On an unrelated subject, my alma mater's former football coach is now UTEP's. (Mike Price, who coached at Alabama but never actually coached a game) He'll do a good job there.

They might not have it posted on the website yet, but try checking with a representative in the stores. They are not really pushing it that hard in most areas with collateral, but they should still have it.
