My question is i have been living in tallahasse for 3 years now and i just bought a house closer to home in brandon and i have had tmobile for years now but im noticing my T610 drops signal alot in the tampa area, especially when im in my house, which it didnt do in tallahassee. It still keeps one bar but fluctuates a lot. So i was thinking of swtiching to cingular now that they are merging with ATT, also because i can get some really good phones from them through online sites like the T637 for almost nothing. So does anyone else have cingular in the brandon/tampa area that could give me some advice. thanks

Cingular has only had GSM in the Tampa Market for a couple of weeks now. I mainly use T-Mobile, live in the Lutz area and have no problems with T-Mobile around Tampa. Seldom do I go to Brandon so I don't know how well they are covered there, but since T-Mobile is the oldest GSM Carrier in the Tampa Bay Area they seem to be doing great.

I would give Verizon a try. Thier west coast market is STRONG. I dont have any exspeirnce with Brandon and Verizon, but I do KNOW that most of FL is a STRONG Verizon Market. Welcome To FL.

I often stay in Brandon when I'm in the Tampa area on business. I average about three weeks a year in that area. I have used Verizon, Nextel, and T-Mobile, and never had any problems keeping a strong signal with any of them.

Currently I'm in Wildwood. Ocala, Orlando, Winter Haven, Bradenton, Brandon, Sanford, Belleview, Altamonte Springs, in all cities, I have had good service with my 3589i with Verizon, and my i205/i530's with Nextel. The clicking noise, which I have experienced with my 3589i, seems to be in the switch. I called CS, and they confirmed. It's not every call, and for me at least, doesn't happen very often. Usually if it's happening, I hang up, and call right back, and there is no problem with the next call. H.T.H

I can dispute that, MAJORLY. I would say Cingular comes in second in terms of coverage. Verizon still has them beat in central and Eastern Central Florida. This statement comes from exspeirnce. |
