I don't know if that is true for our area in Tennessee. My girlfriend has the AT&T V60c and it doesn't pick up worth a crap. Of course the new motorola V60's for verizon don't pick up that well either. So could just be the phone.

TDMA is going down hill. My grandmother's TDMA phone doesn't work nearly as well as it use to. TDMA has never had the best voice quality but it seems to have gotten worse on SunCom in the past few months. I'm not sure why anybody would chose TDMA anymore. GSM and CDMA are much better alternatives.

I am surprised, since Cingular tdma in my county in Florida (Collier) is getting worse...that is why we cancelled...and Collier has something like 200,000 + people. So I don't understand why rural areas have better coverage than cities do? Which rural areas in Florida are you talking about?

I am surprised, because in my local area (Collier and Lee County) AT&T has shut most of their TDMA towers off, and when we used to have Cingular and use it in Ft. Myers, the coverage was terrible.

ooooo.... well TDMA ATT seems to be the BEST for me!!!! I get coverage every where i need it (on network coveage) LONG LIVE TDMA My parents GSM is good but you get many dropped calls and echoing and sometimes you can hear other voice frequancies with my TDMA the only thing i have had wrong with my ATT is some static (or not hearing every word the person says -- VERY rarley happens) eg: "cust...you...ere...lo...mer" translates to "costumer are you there, hello, customer" |
