I don't think this was a good move. Reasons. Most markets in MN will have to be divested. Second those markets in Iowa will be high roaming markets for Alltel. Why did Alltel get rid of the Sprint Cellular markets in Iowa and give them to VZW back in 2000 (Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo) they were was high roaming markets for them. Since they have a cheap roaming agreement with VZW that helps. Not that I am a total VZW fan. It just fits in VZW footprint and some most of those markets in Iowa use to be VZW anyway. |
