Some of you may have caught this yesterday, but given that this is an American forum it may have gone unnoticed. Sony Ericsson held press conferences in Europe to announce two new devices and to officially announce the previously seen Idou. The first new device is Yari, a 5 MP entertainment/gaming handset. It features motion/gesture control and also supports PS3 Remote Play. The second handset is Aino, which is an 8 MP touchscreen device. Idou was re-named Satio, a 12 MP smartphone running Symbian V5 with a proprietary Sony Ericsson UI. It's a full 3.5" touchscreen device. Info: Yari Aino Satio Pictures: Yari Aino Satio

The Aino looks nice. I like sliders. I hate the wave of iPhone inspired touch-screens. I like physical buttons. Aino is a Finnish name (funny for a product coming from Swedish Ericsson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aino_(mythology) PS- ScotsBoy: check the last link on the Satio pictures, it links to the Yari.

Aino will probably be out in Q3, Satio is scheduled for an October release. Aino is indeed a touchscreen device, but the touchscreen is only active for the media player and in the camera mode (for touch focus). Thanks for the heads up about the pictures. Here are the Satio pictures. Also here are some pictures taken by Satio.
