With the advice from a good friend I figure I will post my experience with my new phone even though it is only my second day. And besides it's pretty sad not to see no new threads for 45 days. I am afraid to say this in fear of jinxing myself but I am very happy so far, and I have been searching for a quadband feature rich phone to replace my trusty 6230 which in my opinion was Cingulars best phone for RF and reliabilty. SE W810i Pros The screen is large and colors are bright and crisp. The phone is small with a solid feel. RF is very good with crips clear calls. EDGE speeds are very fast even faster than the 6230 which was fast. I actually like the UI as much if not better than Nokia's (Sorry Charlyee texting was a snap and the T9 feature was easy to get in and out of with a press of a button. The dictionary was also more extensive than my 6230. Battery life so far is very good, I have played with this phone quite a bit and used the camera and still have 1/2 a charge left. The camera is 2 megapixels and takes some nice pics, I am still trying to figure out the features which it has quite a bit. I have experimented with the walkman and transfered a music track from my pc to the phone, once I figured it out it is easy to do. Sony sends you a PC Suite CD which has Disc2Phone so you can drag and drop tracks and transfer to the phone. Cons I found two The battery cover is difficult to remove. The sim card once inserted is impossible to remove unless you catch the corner with something so you can slide it out again. As I said I have only had this phone for two days and I am still in the learning phase, although so far it is a keeper. |

You don't have to use the Disc2Phone software old boy, you can just use the W810 as a flash drive and drag and drop files from your PC to a folder on the handset (using the supplied USB cable).

Images: 1 | Thank-you, I tried to push the card in further with no luck I cannot understand why they make it so difficult to get the sim out.

Let me also go ahead and appologize, in order to help offer better assistance I downloaded the pdf for the 810i, to remove the sim card you should be able to push down on it lightly and slide it in the direction of the notch. The design is quite different from the 600i in regards to the battery compartment and SIM pad.

The K790/K790a is triband, however if you buy the 790a you'll be fine here in the states, you will probably have problems in asia but otherwise you'd be alright.

| if you use dis2phone you can change bit rate an acomodate music depending you memory stick capacity . example .. when first got my w810 using the phone like a flash drive with cingy branded 128mb stick can only upload about 15 or 20 song in high bitrate like are store in my pc ,, but with disc2phone, changing bitrate I upload up to 50 or 60 songs in low bitrate without changing the original file .. if you only plan to use the phone like walkman for listen music with earpice and not connectin to a big stereo system ,, you would not notice the diference betewin 32bps or 190bps... try it
