@vat Gosh this is a blast from the past! The short answer is that I'm not sure you can anymore. The T68/i is around 5 years old, which is ancient in mobile phone terms! Sony Ericsson were offering a free upgrade from the T68 to the T68i, but that was when the T68i first came out I believe, and I'm not sure whether that offer will still be valid. You would probably be easier just buying a T68i (if you can still find one); it shouldn't cost you too much. A SIM free T68i should be around the £10-£30 mark, depending upon how new it is and what comes with it. Alternatively you might want to consider getting a new handset; the Sony Ericsson K series is the successor to the T series. Mind you, the T68i is a super wee handsets, the best Sony Ericsson have ever made in my opinion (I still have mine!).

@vat As I said, you would probably be easier buying a T68i if you really want one.

@vat I'm really not sure. You could try DaVinci or Wotanserver and se eif they support the T68 and posisbly even upgrading to the T68i. If no one else on Wireless Advisor can help then you might like to try asking about this on www.se-nse.com, which is a dedicated SE forum. |

@EmoKiss Which handset are you using? A T68/i? Is your handset having reception problems perhaps? Is there a network fault in your area? Can you receive texts from other people? Can you make and receive calls ok? |

@EmoKisses Did you friend by any chance activate the lock on the handset? SE handsets have a lock feature that once activated asks the user for a PIN each time thye start the handset. I would start by asking your friend what the PIN number is. If it is locked to Virgin then you will need to unlock it. However, as far as I am aware the handset should say something along the lines of 'Inactive SIM' when it is locked and a SIM card from another network is installed. |

@EmoKisses It sounds as if the handset might be locked. You will need to unlock it, which you can either do yourself using something like DaVinci or pay someone else to do for you. Did you get the password problem sorted out? |
