Once I have unlocked my Sony Ericsson T68i can I use other systems in the USA (TDMA, PCS etc. systems with a SIM Card) which are not on the GSM network, thereby giving me a wider geographic footprint?

Its a GSM phone, it can only recieve a GSM signal. It can not recieve CDMA or TDMA signals. Which means you must use a GSM network with the T68i.
